The Kim Chiu - Marian Rivera Battle for Hottest Beauty of the Year
There’s a war going on between the fans of Kim Chiu and Marian Rivera for the highly contested poll in Starmometer’s history - the Hottest Beauty of the Year! The moment the poll was opened last Saturday, December 15, 2007, votes and comments started pouring in.
Marian Rivera had an early lead versus the 7 kapamilya stars and it’s as if kapuso fans were united in their thoughts that they will carry the Marimar star over Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez and sexy vixen Diana Zubiri.
On December 16, Sunday, the kapamilya fans seemed to realize that their votes are getting distributed to their 7 bets; hence, they’re losing the poll. They seemed to finally pick Kim Chiu among the 7 ABS-CBN stars and that afternoon Kim Chiu grabbed the lead from Marian.
On the night of December 16, the fans of Marian Rivera, obviously all of them kapuso, were able to gather more votes to reclaim the leadership of beach goddess from Chinese cutie - Kim Chiu. They even made a campaign in various kapuso blogs to support Marian. Wise tactic indeed.
But on December 17, this morning, KIMERALD fans worked their way for their idol Kim Chiu to occupy the top spot once again before the clock strikes 12:00.
The poll was concluded at exactly 12:00 noon today, December 17, 2007. It was really really close. What supposed to be a selection of the hottest beauty of the year became another GMA versus ABS-CBN thing.
