The song by Pantelis Thalassinos (Παντελής Θαλασσινός) ‘Ιούλιος Πορθητής’ - Ioulios Porthitis, which is a tribute to the month of July, taken from his cd To Kalantari (the Calendar). Most of the art is by Antoine-Auguste-Ernest Hebert.
This video uses the concept of Metempsychosis (reincarnation)as believed by Ancient Greeks. It shows that Ancient Greeks did not wish for a life of eternity, but to live life with honour in defence to their culture and civilization.
Hellenism is the collective mindset of the Ancient Greeks inspired a great civilization, and it is the only ideological alternative to the Purist Dogma that enslaves the minds of many today.
Matthew Arnold sums up enism as follows in his Culture and Anarchy:
‘The uppermost idea with enism is to see things as they really are; the uppermost idea with Hebraism is conduct and obedience. Nothing can do away with this ineffaceable difference. The Greek quarrel with the body and its desires is, that they hinder right thinking; the Hebrew quarrel with them is, that they hinder right acting.’
‘The governing idea of enism is spontaneity of consciousness; that of Hebraism, strictness of conscience.’
