Yeah the same story …
Yeah the same story everywhere, black people buying from a Korean store, then complaining when they control the industry.
Learn to stand on your own two feet.

Thats a lie, not …
Thats a lie, not all Africans got raped by the DEVIl. Study more history, read! You have no culture and identity so u want to bring us down with you, sorry buddy; ur just a European; a white devil!

I don’t think this …
I don’t think this is necesserily promoting racism towards Korean businesses. It’s just letting those who weren’t aware of the industry being taken over by people who are making money on us. They don’t use the products, the majority of them don’t like our race, but they are slowly but surely taking over the industry that 100% of African Americans demand. This is just the same Whites taking what belonged to Africans/African Americans in the past as well as the present.

this makes me very …
this makes me very angry….and promoting racism towards Korean businesses.
The angle villifies Korean businesses and general ability of Korean business people to demonstrate superior marketing skills.
The question is not who OWNS the industry, the question is who is oppressed by this industry. It is CLEAR that the PRESSURE for black people to have straight hair is a Westernized notion of beauty. And this documentary side steps teh fact that Western notions of beauty are what is corrupt

country of origin? …
country of origin? who brought them here by force and changed their names? if you do a DNA test of african americans, many of them have MORE european heritage than african heritage, don’t be fooled dark skin is dominant don’t know you know US history? the white masters raped the black women to create new generations of slaves
black americans are no longer pure africans
they have both european and african heritage
america is as much their “country of origin” as whites

you do realize …
you do realize though why it’s so cheap for them to produce wigs and extensions? asians have a plethora of beautiful hair. and they make good money selling it. look up prices for human hair. if i ever cut my hair, i will surely sell it. they realize they have a commodity that is high in demand and costs basically no money to produce. good business skills.

This is exactly why …
This is exactly why I am natural now and I buy natural products online or from health stores mostly made by us. They have no patent laws in Asia so they can copy anything and sell it over seas here with no repercussions. So of course most of the products are not quality or even good for our hair. They don’t care so why would they try and put any effort into something they stole. They didn’t even develop the product to begin with. We need to support those of us who are selling natural products.

SO TRUE! this well …
SO TRUE! this well make me mad, there a few in manchester, but the best one is in Hulme, they dont follow you round and they are nice at least.
Black people cant be bothered to run business, and when they do, they are too expensive or black people see them as a threat. I’m growing dreadlocks now anyway. I’ll be posting some pics soon.

I style my hair …
I style my hair into dreadlocks, much of these supplies I do not use. However, I was unaware of this issue and will be much more discerning about what conditioners I use and who owns and where I buy them from.

In the UK, it’s …
In the UK, it’s Indians and Pakistanis who own most of the black hair/beauty product stores. What annoys me is they know ZILCH about black hair/skin - when u ask their advice they merely push you to buy the most expensive brands. They can also be quite patronising and racist, following you around the store as if you’re a thief. Boycotting them is difficult - the problem is there is so little choice and variety where black-owned stores are concerned. Black people, we have to do better!!!

I’m a natural …
I’m a natural sister, but I must say that Black Women are creative as when it comes to our hair….now, if ONLY WE could be creative as all in distribution, sales, and the overall management of the Black Hair Care Industry!
This is a ed shame, for real…
It’s easy for me to say that I’m not part of the problem (I use all natural products from the grocery stores in my hood, some black owned!) but I can shamefully say that I’m not part of the solution, either
